US NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
AUGUST
26
2006

Last weekend Jacquelyn traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota
for her second US National Championships! Things did not
start off as planned with two falls on bars; missed half
pirouette and fall on double front dismount (12.300), but
Jacquelyn did not let those mistakes get to her and she came
back strong on her other events. She performed a solid
beam routine
Arabian. front tuck,
ff, layout. Side somi. Back pike. Switch leap, gainer layout,
small wobble. 2 1/2 twist which
scored a solid 14.600. Moving along to floor with that
same momentum
(Arabian
double front. Whip, whip, ff, ff 2 1/2. Triple twist. Double
pike) she scored a similar score to the previous
event, 14.700. She finished the night with a yurchenko 1˝
and scored a 14.600. With an all-around score of 56.200,
Jacquelyn was in 12th place going into the finals.
The final night of competition, Jacquelyn was
determined to hit four for four and to make the national team
for the second year in a row. More stress was added to the
gymnasts during finals because there is no one-touch warm-up
where the gymnasts warm up an event right before they compete.
Jacquelyn started on beam where her routine was a little
cautious but still a hit routine. Jacquelyn scored a
14.050. Moving onto floor, she had a slight step out of
bounds but an overall great routine
(Arabian
double front. whip, whip, 2 1/2 out of bounds. Nice triple
twist. Double pike) scoring a
14.600. Next, she performed the same vault as in prelims
and scored another great score of a 14.400. Bars was her
last event where she had shown some problems with her routine in
prelims. She cam back strong and finished the meet with a
stuck routine
Maloney to Pak
salto, to Stalder half, Stalder full, Jaeger. half
pirouette. double front dismount.
scoring a 14.600! With an all-around
score of 57.650, Jacquelyn tied Kayla Hoffman from Rebound for
11th place! The top twelve were named to the national team
and also invited to the World Selection Camp!
Congratulations Jacquelyn on your second year
on National Team!!

GO UTES! CONGRATULATIONS JACQUELYN!!
JULY 3
2006
Jacquelyn has officially committed to the University of
Utah! Read the press release below:

|
I am excited to announce that I have made a verbal
commitment to attend the University of Utah and compete
for their gymnastics team. I intend to sign a National
Letter of Intent in November. My current plans are to
defer for one year and enroll in the fall of 2008, so
that I can fulfill my commitment to my current coaches
and USA Gymnastics.
I train at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy in Fairfield,
Ohio, and am coached by Mary Lee Tracy and Amy Wert. I
am a member of the USA National Team. I finished tenth
in the all around and fifth on uneven bars and balance
beam at the 2005 USA Gymnastics Championships, won bars
and floor and placed second in the all around at the
2006 USA vs. Japan/New Zealand Competition, and tied for
third all around in prelims at the 2006 American Cup. If
you would like to learn more about me you can visit my
web site at:
http://www.gymnastchic.com.
I was also recruited by Stanford University, University
of Alabama, and University of Georgia. All of them were
great options but after considering everything, I felt
that the University of Utah was the place I could best
accomplish my goals.
My quote: "I'm so excited to be a 'UTE' and help the
team win a NCAA Championship! The team, school,
coaches, well, pretty much everything is great at Utah
and I can't wait to join the team after my elite career
at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy."
Mary Lee's quote: "I am thrilled for Jacq to be
going to such a prestigious university with strong
coaches as well as a school with high academic
standards. The team is full of great athletes and great
people. I know it will be an incredible 4 year journey
as Jacq becomes and official "UTE". Jacq has dedicated
so much of her life to this sport, I am so thankful that
she will now have a full scholarship to show for her
hard work!"
If you‘d like to speak with my coach or I about my
decision:
I can be reached at 513-305-7387. The
best times to call me are between 1 and 2:30 pm or after
6:30 pm.
My coach, Mary Lee Tracy, can be reached at 513-860-3082.
The best times to call her are between 1 and 2:30 pm or
after 6 pm.
GO UTES!

TYSON
AMERICAN CUP RESULTS
MARCH 4
2006

Friday, March 3rd, was Jacquelyn's big debut in
front of an international field of high class gymnasts and she
performed well! She tied for 3rd in the all-around with teammate
Bianca Flohr with a 57.550. Jacquelyn received
a 14.00 for a nice yurchekno full with a slight step on the
landing. The uneven bars was a great set for Jac, scoring
a 14.800 placing her 3rd on that event. Unfortunately, on
balance beam she had a slip on her punch front which is an
automatic eight tenths (0.8) off her starting score (14.150).
She redeemed herself on floor and performed all of her passes
successfully and scored a 14.600. With the two
per-country rule, Jacquelyn was not able to compete in the
finals. Teammates Nastia Liukin and Shayla Worley advanced
to the finals on Saturday. Congratulations on
a great accomplishment Jac! New
photos have been added from the 2006
Tyson American Cup and possibly videos will be added later on in
the week.
